Biography

Rosendo Abel Agramonte Herrera was born in the picturesque surroundings of Camagüey, Cuba, in 1971. From his early years, he showed a natural inclination towards art, dedicating himself to scribbling, drawing, and painting from the tender age of 4 or 5. His art education was primarily self-taught, developing his talent intuitively and passionately.

For Rosendo, art was not just a creative activity but a vital necessity that provided him with joy, enjoyment, and constant spiritual and intellectual growth. He himself is convinced that he was destined to be an artist from his mother's womb, endowed by divine grace with innate talent.

His artistic journey began in his hometown of Camagüey, where he started studying and copying the great masters of painting. He was especially drawn to landscapes and portraits, fascinated by their beauty and depth of expression. Rosendo created numerous works in this style, some observed directly from nature, others copied, and some of his own creation.

As the 1990s progressed, Rosendo felt the need to explore new trends and forms of artistic expression, leading him to venture into contemporary and modern art, where he experimented with symbolism, figurative abstraction, and conceptualization.

In 2004, Rosendo decided to take his art beyond the borders of his homeland and traveled to Europe, specifically to Switzerland, where he held several exhibitions that marked the beginning of a series of travels and exhibitions around the world. Since then, he has exhibited his work in France, Spain, Russia, Canada, the United States, and other countries, accumulating more than 35 exhibitions in his career.

With over 3200 pieces including paintings, drawings, and studies, Rosendo has captivated collectors and art lovers worldwide. For him, creating art is an activity that nourishes his spirit and soul, strengthening and healing him with every stroke. Each work he produces carries a piece of his sincerity and feelings, conveying an authentic part of his being on every canvas or support he intervenes in.
